[title] Attach the straps
-[* black] Insert wisdom here.
+[* black] Take one ***12" length of elastic band*** and pin it over one of the intersections between the sewn border line and one of the straight lines.
+ [* icon_note] The end of the elastic should ***extend past the sewn border*** by about 1/4" as pictured.
+ [* icon_note] The angle of the elastic should roughly follow the angle of the sewn straight line.
+[* black] ***Attach the elastic band*** by sewing a small rectangle where it overlaps the mask. This is the most difficult sewing step.
+ [* icon_note] I found that only using the ***manual advance wheel*** on the sewing machine made this step a lot easier. The width of each rectangle was exactly two stitches.
+ [* icon_note] As long as the straps are ***securely attached***, the mask will work. It doesn't have to look pretty.
+[* black] ***Repeat this process*** for the other end of the first strap, and then both ends of the second strap.
+ [* icon_reminder] ***Check the orientation*** of the flat elastic bands when attaching each one's second end. The same flat side should be facing up on both ends, and there shouldn't be any twists in the band.
